Astromatic has a long and established history in the carwash industry. We are the trusted leader in the business because of our experience and dedication to customer service.  We manufacture parts, resell parts, refurbish equipment and are always looking for new business opportunities.

The Busenlehner family settled in the Corpus Christi area as farmers in the early 1900’s. By growing up on a farm, we had the ability and tools to learn and create things on our own. Kevin Busenlehner (my father, the founder) has been in the carwash business since 1965. When he was 17 years old he designed and built his first car wash, a two bay self-serve. In 1975, just two years after Ryko Manufacturing Co. opened, he purchased his first Ryko in-bay automatic which was an R7B machine. Kevin went through the years designing and building many car washes in which all were a combination of self-serve with the automatic option utilizing Ryko equipment. In 1984, Astromatic was incorporated and Kevin used his extensive experience to manufacture and outsource new replacement parts for Ryko equipment. After 50 years in the industry, in 2015 Kevin retired and sold us the Company. 

As a young boy I had the pleasure of going to work with my Dad.  Between maintaining the car wash and working on the farm I learned many skills. Inspired by my father's passion of flying ultralights, at the age of 13 I began taking flying lessons. Since flying is an expensive hobby, I worked at one of the car washes during high school. After graduating I went on to college to complete my degree in aviation science. I flew business jets professionally for 10 years before taking over Astromatic, Inc.

Upon purchasing the Company, my wife and I and our four children relocated it to our hometown of Cherokee, Tx. Located on the northern end of the Texas Hill Country, Cherokee is a beautiful place surrounded by rolling hills of ranch land.  

Being a family run business, we know how important customer service is and in this day in time it seems like a thing of the past. We try to provide the best possible customer experience with the highest quality of products available. We stand behind our products no matter what.
